As demand increases in the surgery and the phone lines get busier please can we ask the following of you:

1. If you need urgent help for a medical condition that needs dealt with that day, please ring as early in the day as possible otherwise it may not be dealt with until the next day

( PLEASE REMEMBER CALL 999 FOR LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCIES)

2. If requesting a home visit please contact us as early as possible as this allows us to plan our visiting list to ensure everyone gets seen in a timely matter

3. If waiting for test results please be aware we don’t ring if your results are normal. If you are a NHS app user please check your results on there.(

Remember no news is good news)

4. If needing to order a prescription please use the NHS app if you have it, alternatively call 01697322491 or 01697320209 OPTION 4, this helps keep the main surgery line free for those needing medical help

5. We DO send text reminders out for those with appointments ( Please ensure you have notifications enabled on your app to receive these) . If you no longer need your appointment it can be cancelled through the app or by calling us. This enables us to offer it to someone else.
More NHS services are starting to communicate by text, why not download the NHS app now!

Starting May there will be a test message text out to ladies due there cervical screening rather than sending out an invite by post.

Hospitals are now sending out text reminders, this is helping to utilise more hospital appointments rather than people not attending because they have forgot.
Please remember you don’t always have to see a GP! we offer appointments with nurses, Health Care assistants, physiotherapists, pharmacists and living well coaches, our receptionists will guide you to the best professional for your medical issue.
Our colleagues in the pharmacy can also offer help and information on common ailments why not pop in and ask them.
